For the past weeks, you’ve heard how our Equipping the Saints mission appeal has begun to support synod-wide ministries and our global partners. Maybe you are wondering, “What about our congregation? How does ETS provide support to our congregation and our dreams for ministry?”
The answer is that approximately 36% of all funds raised for ETS will be directed back into Greater Milwaukee Synod congregations through the Innovation and Collaboration initiative. Early in the new year, congregations will be able to begin to apply for grants for innovative and collaborative ministries. The more we raise as a synod, the more money will be available for congregations to dream new dreams as we listen to where God is calling us! Mission appeal funds will provide grants to support congregations and other ministries which engage in experiments that explore new ways of being church and inviting more people into life-changing relationships with Jesus Christ.
We invite you and your congregation to be a part of the Equipping the Saints appeal to see the initiatives of the appeal unfold for new life and ministry.
The ETS Campaign has currently raised over $962,000 which is 41.8% toward our goal. The campaign is now seeking to let every member of the Greater Milwaukee Synod hear about this effort and make their own decision if they would like to provide financial support to the campaign.
Leader training sessions in January will equip your stewardship team or other lay leaders to lead ETS in the congregation and provide excellent continuing education to build skills they can use for congregational stewardship.
